Peter Warlock wasn't a 16th Century composer, but early 20th Century. The six movements in the suite are all based on music from a collection of 16th century dances, collected by Thoinot Arbeau (1519 - 1595) which was in turn based on traditional dance styles and themes.
I've played the notes from the original string orchestra score, with the odd added repeat and improvised solo. And rhythm guitar and drums of course, which PW hadn't scored.
